Presets FAQ

What are PRESETS?

We use Adobe Lightroom to edit all our photos. If the photo requires more retouching, such as object removal, skin treatment, or light effects, we use Adobe Photoshop. On Lightroom, presets are a set of pre-saved settings that were fine-tuned to achieve a certain look in one click. Presets can help saving time when editing new pictures, and help you get the same look without spending months learning everything from scratch. But don't be fooled, you still going to need basic knowledge on how to use the software, as well as lighting conditions when shooting your photos.

What is included in the Two Leaves Photography Presets pack?

All packs come with fine adjustments presets to help you with the editing process, making it faster. When installing our presets, you will see alongside the Colour/BW Presets:

Grain + : this will add a little bit of grain to your photo.

Grain ++ : this will add a mild grain to your photo.

Grain +++ : this will add a mild grain to your photo.

Lens Profile: if you were using a DSLR camera, this will automatically choose the lens profile of your lens.

Will I get the exact same look if I buy your presets?

There are many factors that will determine your end result, and some might be out of your control. For example, the sky can change colours based on the time of day you shoot, skin tones and hair colours can vary a lot, and everything can look completely different if you shoot in direct sunlight, in the shade or indoors. Your camera, lens and settings can affect things as well. On your phone, how you are shooting, underexposing/overexposing, camera quality, can also affect your final result. But if you learn how to make a few basic adjustments, you can make these work. Remember: you will ALWAYS get greater results if shooting with a DSLR and RAW files, rather than on your phone (no matter which one you use).

Do you suggest using the presets as a start and then adjusting as needed?

No preset is ever a quick fix, BUT in some cases, these can absolutely be one click. In some cases, a quick tweak on temperature, exposure, contrast or shadows is needed.

What camera/lens do you use?

We have two Canon 5D Mark III (this camera is literally a canon, pun intended). As for the lenses, our favourite of all times is the Sigma ART 35mm f1.4, and occasionally for portraits or food photography, we LOVE using the Canon L 100mm f2.8 MACRO. We also have a Canon L 70-200 f2.8 II that we use for landscape shootings.

Do you accept returns?

Since presets are digital goods and cannot be returned, we are unable to issue refunds. If you are unhappy with the results you are getting, shoot as an email with a full resolution picture you want to edit and we’ll walk you through editing to get the best result.
