Hi, I’m Francine

I’m a photographer based in Vancouver, and my background is in fine arts. I love the moments in between: a hand resting on the belly, a sleepy newborn yawn, the giggle right after “everyone look at me.”

My sessions are relaxed and unhurried. I’ll guide you gently when you need it, and the rest of the time you can simply be together.

Your gallery

Your edited photos are usually ready within three weeks. At busier times of year it can take a little longer, and I’ll always let you know.

From your living room to the coastline

Some of my favourite sessions happen in your own living room. Others happen at golden hour in Stanley Park, on the sand at Spanish Banks, or in a quiet Fraser Valley field.

I photograph families across Metro Vancouver, from North Vancouver and Burnaby to Surrey and Langley, and all the way out to Chilliwack. Not sure where to go? I’ll suggest a spot that suits your family and the season.

Questions families often ask

When is the best time to book maternity photos?

Most maternity sessions happen between 28 and 34 weeks, around seven to eight months, when your bump is beautifully round and you usually still feel comfortable moving around. Every pregnancy is different, though, so I always recommend reaching out early so we can plan around how you’re feeling.

What are your newborn sessions like?

My newborn sessions are relaxed, not posed: no props, baskets or staged setups. Just your family together, welcoming your new baby in a space that feels like yours.

What should we wear?

Once your session is booked, I’ll send you my wardrobe guide. Soft pastels and earthy tones with minimal patterns photograph beautifully. I’ll also guide you through every step before the session, and I have a small client wardrobe you’re welcome to borrow from.

Do you travel outside Vancouver?

Yes! I photograph families across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, all the way to Chilliwack. For locations further out, a small travel fee may apply depending on the distance. Just ask and I’ll confirm before you book.
